I need to delete the recovery files, they cause an error it looks that prevent me from using the product:
Error: Unable to get value of the property 'contains': object is null or undefined
The popup then never goes away when I load powerbi. I have to close the powerBI process to even shut down powerBI.
Is there a way to delete them from the HDD?
Solved! Go to Solution.
For anyone else, Solution is to go to
C:\Users\username\
then add \appdata\ which is a hidden folder
Within you'll find the recovery file pbixs under local\power bi desktop\.
To delete recovery files that are causing errors in PowerBI, you can start by trying a manual approach. First, locate the recovery files on your HDD. These files are often in specific directories such as "Backup" or "Recovery." Navigate to the folder where these files are stored and try deleting them directly. Make sure PowerBI and any related applications are closed before doing so.
If the manual method doesn't work or you can't find the files, consider using a data recovery tool like BLR Data Recovery Tool. This software can help locate and remove unwanted recovery files from your HDD, addressing issues like the one you're experiencing with PowerBI.
