How to default last 30 days in date between slicer?

Hi All,

Can someone please help me with one of the issues I am struggling with the date between slicer default to last 30 days ?

I need to create a report with date between filter, it should be defaulted to last 30 days in the slicer earlier and later user can change the timeframe to verify the other years data. User is not willing to have the relative date filter to select last 30 days because they want to see the complete date range and select the data. 

As you can see here - if i use relative date, I am not able to select leter date than 27th Jun. The report has data for 2 year back

Unfortunately it is not supported to set a dynamic default date or date range for a date slicer currently. You can vote up the following ideas regarding a similar requirement:

Dynamically determine default dates when using date slicer with the between option. 

Default date in a date range slicer 

Default Selected Slicer or Tile-By Value Configuration 

According to the latest comment, this feature is on the backlog of the product team but they cannot share a timeline at the moment. Hopefully it will come true in the near future. 

To explain why you cannot select earlier dates than 27th June if you use a relative date filter, filters on report/page/visuals have a higher priority than the slicer. A slicer is also a visual, so it is filtered by filters from the Filter pane too. As a result it cannot let users select dates that have been filtered out by other filters.
