How to create new table in Direct query mode

Hi everyone,   As enter data option is grayed out in the direct query, how to create a table in the PBI
Need Help

    Hi Shree_185 ,

     

    There are no such limitations when in DirectQuery connection mode. The lower right corner of the desktop will display the current connection mode. Please check if you are in Live connection mode.

    If you are using Live connection mode and the data source is a Power BI dataset or Azure Analysis Services, you can change the connection mode from Live connection to DirectQuery for more functionality. If not, you can only edit from the data source to create a new table.

Shree_185 , I Created a date table in direct query mode.  I have not tested enter data. Date table using calendar function

add one table using new table and post that try enter data

    Hi amitchandak ,

     

    I am trying to create a calendar table between min and max values of dates in my dataset. My data is in directquery mode but the calendar table gets created in Import mode only. Can you please help me with the steps to create calendar table in directquery mode.
