There's always the Deneb visual if you don't mind the learning curve.

    Thanks lbendlin - I've downloaded Deneb but it's too early for my brain to function at that level.  Could you help please? All I need is a start date, an end date, with a phased colour scheme of green to red between them, and the ability to place a 3rd date anywhere between them without it impacting any colours.
