How to create RLS fror Multiple users to access multiple report weblinks with buttons -reg

I have created  a home page report  which contains multiple report links  to  a project which consists of multiple reports.

Based on the user accessiblity the links has to be filtered in the home page report.i achieve this task in table visual(all links are showing in one visual) but i want in individual links to be appeared multiple buttons  not in a single tabular is that possible?

For eg., If i have access to CFO and Finance i can only able to see CFO & Finance buttons in the home page and sales button has to be filtered

Hi @Anonymous ,

In power bi desktop, please note that:

  1. Buttons are similar to the redirect function, it does not involve the data itself, just to provide users with a convenient experience
  2. Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI can be used to restrict data access for given users. Filters restrict data access at the row level, and you can define filters within roles. It is really related to data actually.

So in this issue, I'm afraid you cannot set RLS roles to filter buttons in power bi desktop currently, RLS will only restrict users to access data not elements like buttons, shapes etc.

For more details about buttons and RLS, you can refer these documents:

  1. Use buttons in Power BI
  2. Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI
