How to combine multiple PowerBI reports into one table

Hello,

 

I am trying to find a way how to merge the data from four reports which have been set up by different regions. The underlying data is similar (ie each dataset contains the same columns, maybe with slight name differences), and I have access to all regional dashboards.

 

What is the best way to combine all regions into one big - global - table to run analysis on the full dataset?

 

I tried importing the PowerBI datasets, but then I am not able to see how to make transformations and merge them into one?

 

Thanks for any pointers!

Hi Stone,

 

The recommended way to create reusable data that you can use throughout multiple reports is by creating Dataflows. In Power Query, you can then transform the column names and append the queries to generate the global table. I recommend you think about what kind of analyses you need to run and at what level of granularity, as well. That way you can also group the data to a more managable size for the report you want to build.

 

Importing multiple datasets in a single report is not possible, last I checked.
