I have a simple report with a simple table;
The standard dev is a measure.
I have created a calc column that basically checks each of the durations, against the Standard Dev value. (if it's lower than SD then display "less", if higher then display "more")
The problem is, when I start applying filters, the SD measure changes as expected, however, the calculated column remains static:
How can I achieve the goal of having each calc_column behaving dynamically based on filters being applied?
Hi @rax99 ,
You may use measure if you need a series of dynamic values after applying filters.
Measure = VAR SD1 = CALCULATE ( STDEV.P ( 'Table1'[Duration (s)] ), ALLSELECTED ( 'Table1' ) ) VAR d = SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Table1'[Duration (s)] ) RETURN SWITCH ( TRUE (), d < SD1, "less", d > SD1, "more" )
thanks for this answer, although in a table view this does appear to be giving correct results, however when plotting the values on a line or bar chart, it refuses to take this measure. So, for example, I wanted to plot the number of more's/lesses against the country. Any ideas?
