How to change border color of bars of a colustered column chart

Hi,

I have created a colustered column chart and each column represent differet color based on that field value. I have set it up with the help of conditional formatting.

The problem is while bar is inivsible due to white background, so I want to make border of these bars of black or some other color visible on white background.

Is color of border of these bars controllable. I in fact could not find any solution.

Thanks.

no, the colour of the borders is not controllable. Perhaps it is if you use one of the third party charts but that seems a bit more difficult than changing the conditional formatting to something not white.

I can't believe 2 years have gone by and this still isn't possible. It's been in Excel for a very long time.

Power BI team has a lot on their plate. Of all the demands out there, minor formatting improvements to existing visuals will likely be pending for a long time.

There are custom visuals on Appsource that can solve your problem.

This is one example -

Hi @mahenkj2

It's not supported to change the border color of bars currently, maybe you can consider change the background color to some color out of range of all bar colors to make white bar more visible.

Another option is to use other white colors to represent white. For example, you can create a measure like below and select it for conditional formatting. It colors white bar with "#FAF9F6". This will make it a little different from the background. White Color CodesShades of White

Color Measure =
SWITCH (
    SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Table'[Color] ),
    "White", "#FAF9F6",
    SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Table'[Color] )
)

Oh thanks, but that's a basic feature, generally available for known charting softwares.
