How to change Hive query result format into Sequence file in Power BI

Hi,

I am wondering, how to change default Hive query result format from text file to Sequence file in Power BI?.

In Tableau, we do have option called intial SQl, there we can apply below statement as

set hive.query.result.fileformat = SequenceFile

In same manner, is there any way to do it Power BI?, Please let me know.

Appriciate your help.

Thanks,

Ganesh

Hi @Anonymous,

Power bI is a tool used to create report, it seems we can't change default Hive query result format from text file to Sequence file after research, you can use Direct Query to connect Tableau database.

Thank you Angelia for your responce.

And I am not sure, how to connect Tableau Datasource(Dataset which is published in Tableau Server) from Power BI?, Please let me know if it is possible.

Best Regards,

Ganesh

Hi @Anonymous,

In terms of Tableau, I am not a specialist. After reasearch, Tableau is a fully integrated and extensible platform that utilizes your existing data strategy, you should connect the datasource used in Tableau. Please review all dataset supported in Power BI desktop here.

Thanks,
Angelia
