Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help how we can auto refresh a PowerBi report consisting of direct query data & import from excel files and sharepoint folders. When I tried to put on autorefresh, it gave an error that it was not possible.
Is there any workable work-around? Or do I do something wrong?
If you Premium Per User or Premium licensing, can you just setup a refresh pipeline through Power Automate or Powershell? That way, you won't have any refresh limits (you can go past 48 refreshes/day), and it will get Import Mode datasets to refresh at high frequencies.
The problem is that my PowerBi files has both a direct query AND an import excel file. If I then want to autorefresh in the online preview, it gives the following error. How could I make sure the imported excel file get auto refreshed since the direct query gets automatically refreshed currently?
For import excel files or any other files from local system or server you need to install on-premise gateway then you can use scheduled refresh for timely refreshing your data.

For Sharepoint you can refer this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MC6TJMaiCRo
Hello @MatNyr ,
In direct query mode, you set the automatic refresh from the power bi desktop.
