How to allow AnalyzeInExcel to all users?
A user mentioned having the 'analyze in excel' grayed out:
How can I allow this option to all users??

Workspace Permissions:
- In Power BI, go to the workspace where your dataset is located.
- Set permissions at the workspace level. Only allow "Analyze in Excel" access to users who are designated as members or contributors. Do not assign them the admin role unless necessary.

Assign Build Permissions:
- In the dataset’s settings, navigate to the Manage Permissions page for the dataset you want to share.
- Add only the users or groups that should have the ability to use "Analyze in Excel" and assign them the Build permission. This permission is necessary for them to connect and analyze the data externally while restricting other access.

Limit Permissions for Other Users:
- Ensure that other users who should not have access to "Analyze in Excel" are either excluded from the workspace or are granted lower-level permissions, such as Viewer, without build access.

Restrict Download Permissions:
- Disable the option for users to download reports or datasets within the workspace settings unless essential for specific roles.
This configuration allows finer control over who can connect to the Power BI dataset via Excel, keeping "Analyze in Excel" limited to only authorized users.

The user also needs at least Viewer permissions on the dataset to enable Analyze in Excel.
If you are an admin, go to Power BI Admin Portal → Tenant settings ensure that the "Export data" and "Analyze in Excel" options are enabled under Tenant settings.

check these steps if you are admin or ask power bi admin to enable these setting.In the Admin Portal > Tenant settings you can turn on 'Use Analyze in Excel'
Export to Excel is also in the Tenant settings so just make sure that one is on.

Analyze in Excel could be allowed (in your case) only to certain security group / users.
