How to add a hover-over text to a Slicer?

For example, I have a Slicer for [FY Month Number] and I want to add a hover-over text like "Month 1 means March."

So when hovering the cursor over the Slicer (Slider), the text will pop up. Is this possible?

Hover Text option is not available for slicers but you can try the Visual Header Tools Tip which the user needs to click to know the information that you need to share.

Hey there! Hope I'm not late with this.

I have the same issue and the way I ressolved is creating a subtitle adding the text and leaving the background color and text with same color. When you hover over the slicer, it shows the description written.

One way to achieve this, though it isn't perfect, is to add a shape that sits over the title of your slicer. You need to ensure it doesn't cover the selection area, but if a user hovers over the slicer in the right spot, the shape will appear.

To enable text in the shape, turn 'Action' 'On' in the format pane, select 'Back' and type the text you want to appear in the 'Tooltip' below.

It's not perfect as the user has to hover over a specific spot, but it is a work around.

@Anonymous - Nothing comes to mind other than to add your note as the title of the slicer or in a text box.
