How to add a filter on report?

I am very new to PowerBI, I used to use Dundas Dashboard which allows user to create filters like dropdownlist, radio buttons, checkbox, date range etc that actually serves as parameters passed to the data source for the dashboard.

I am wondering if PowerBI has the same or similar functionality of doing that? if yes, it would be appreciated if you can share that with me.

Thank you very much.

Hi @raymondxie,

According to your description, I think slicer will be suitable for your requirement.

Radio button: single select

CheckBox: multiple select

DateRange: between mode(only work on date type)

Dropdownlist:
