I am trying to slice my data into quartiles based on the value of tenure, recency, customer value, and also customerOrderCount value. I am only dealing with only one table. The data set I am dealing with is over 8 million rows. This is the raw dataset I have.
And this is the final table I hope it looks like:
I tried to use Nile function in SQL and give each customer ID a rank, then pivot in powerBI, but it does not work. Could anyone help?
Thank you in advance!
Hi @AmandaLu ,
Has your problem been solved, if so, please consider Accept a correct reply as the solution or share your own solution to help others find it.
Also, based on your description, you have a large amount of data, which may be less efficient if you operate in Power BI. You can try to convert in the original database, create new tables and import them into Power BI.
Best Regards
Lucien
You cannot measure a measure. You need separate measures for each quartile.
Please provide sanitized sample data that fully covers your issue. I cannot help you without usable sample data.
Please paste the data into a table in your post or use one of the file services like OneDrive or Google Drive. I cannot use screenshots of your source data.
Please show the expected outcome based on the sample data you provided. Screenshots of the expected outcome are ok.
