How to Prevent Power Users from Viewing Hidden Columns in Power BI Model View?
Hi gurus,
I am working on a dataset that I share with power users. To simplify their experience, I hide certain columns and tables in the model. However, I noticed that power users can import the model locally in model view and make all hidden columns and tables visible again.
For tables, I found a solution by marking them as private in Tabular Editor, which works perfectly. However, I haven’t found a reliable way to achieve the same for hidden columns.
Does anyone have a suggestion or best practice for keeping hidden columns inaccessible to power users? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Gigadude OLS works for columns as well. Or you could use this technique and mark the table as private: Column Level Security - Microsoft Fabric Community
