I'm using multiple slicers when I'm generating a report, and I just ran into this issue. I want to compare two different locations, so I go to the location slicer and choose the two locations I am interested in. I then want to compare how they perform based on shared products, so I go to the product slicer. However, all the products that are manufactured at either location are allowed to be chosen in this slicer. I was wondering if it would be possible for the slicer to only show products that are maunfactured at both facilities.
You can Sync the slicers and thus one slicer selection can impact another.
Use a slicer to limit the choices of another slicer, then hide the first slicer.
It may be silly, but do work.
The problem though is.... one slicer will not limit the selection of another slicer. Thats the fundamental problem that needs solving. Hiding it wont fix the fact that the remaining slicer still shows all the selection.
The problem is.... that one slicer wont limit the choices of another slicer. Thats the problem that needed to be solved?
In Power BI report, the logic operation between items in a slicer is OR. In your scenario, you need the AND operation between two locations in your silcer. Based on my research, there is no such a option that allow us to change it.
Thank you for your understanding.
