How to Filter Upwards from a lowest level

Hi! My first post here, but im wondering if this is possible.

Im creating a "report card" for employees, where you select the employee and it shows all their stats. Pretty basic.

However, I would like to have a table that shows all the employee on said employees team. I have an org chart that flows - manager - supervisor - team lead - employee. Like screen shot below.

What I am looking to do - If i select Employee D from a drop down, I want the table to show all employees on  Supervisor B's Team.  (Employees D-G)

With only using the one drop down.  I dont want to have them select a drop down that filters the entire page, then have to select another drop down just for this one table visual.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

    Hi LynseyLong5 ,

    You could create a measure as a visual-level filter for your table visual. The following is an example based on your sample data.

    My sample data

    Steps:

    1.Create a calculated table for the slicer.

    Table 2 = SUMMARIZE('Table',[Manager],[Supervisor],[Team Lead],[Employee])

    There's no relationship between two tables.

    2.Create the visual-level filter measure.

    Measure = IF(SELECTEDVALUE('Table 2'[Supervisor])=MAX('Table'[Supervisor]),1)

    3.The fields of the table visual are from 'Table' and the fields of the slicer are from 'Table 2'.

    4.Put the measure into the visual-level filter and set up show items when the values is 1.

    5.When select employee d in the slicer, all employees on  Supervisor b's Team will be displayed.

  • LynseyLong5 , create an independent table on employee, no join

    employee = distinct(Table[Employee])

    Then create a new measure and use with other columns in visual

    Measure =
    var _tab = summarize(filter(Table, Table[Employee] in values(Employee[Employee]) ), Table[Manager])
    return
    countrows(filter(Table, Table[Manager] in _tab))
