In the latest version, the slicer settings have undergone a change. From the slicer settings options, please select the Tile option as shown in the image above. You would get a vetically oriented slicer slicer which you can resize into a horizontal one. It works

The problem here is that if you resize that Tile visual into a square so that the tiles are 2x2, Power BI puts 2018 in the first column, then 2019 BELOW 2018, and then 2020 in the top second column and 2021 BELOW 2020.

Preferrably it should be 2018 and 2019 in the first ROW, then 2020 and 2021 in the second ROW. I can't seem to find a way to do that with Tiles. Thanks!

Hello

Thanks. My Power BI Desktop (Version: 2.124.1960.0 64-bit (January 2024)) does not have that slicer visual. I tried to upgrade but we're not allowed to at my work until the Report Server ALSO gets upgraded next month so I gotta wait :). Hopefully when I get the update that visual will be available, thanks!

Thanks for the solution, Is there a way to get the slicer "vertical list" to be in horizontal?, instead of converting them to tiles?

Sorry, I am not aware of any such possibility.
