Hi All,
In Power BI Desktop, is there a way to disable the caching of search text in slicers? During development, I frequently use slicer search on multiple slicers, but Power BI retains these search entries. Before deployment, I have to manually clear each slicer’s cached text to prevent any unintended filters, which is easy to overlook.
Thank you in advance.

Hi @muturuf
you can use the following workaround:
Create a Bookmark to Reset Slicers:
Add a "Reset Filters" Button:
Use the Button Before Deployment:
Currently, manually resetting slicers using bookmarks is the most effective method to address cached search text in slicers.

Hi @muturuf ,
As @VahidDM said, I did the test and please follow the following steps:
1. You could select the “clear all slicers” in Buttons and if you are the latest Power BI Desktop (Please check the step 5 directly if you match this condition):
2. If you cannot create the button directly, please create a bookmark of the page when none of slicers are selected:
3. Create a Button and you can configure the button to show text:
4. Set the Action property of that to bookmark and select the “clear all slicer” bookmark for it:
5. We could use Ctrl+Click on the Power BI Desktop to test the solution:
If you Current Period does not refer to this, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,
