How to Create a Dynamic Multi-Language Dashboard in Power BI Without Manual Translation?

How can I create a multi-language dashboard dynamically in Power BI without manually building a translation table?

I already have a fully developed report, including transformations, data cleaning, slicers, and a complete dashboard. However, manually translating millions of data points, labels, and visual titles is not feasible. Is there an API integration or any real-time translation solution that can dynamically translate everything visible on the screen, including data labels, text, and visuals?

The goal is to allow users to switch languages seamlessly, without pre-generating translations for all data. If there are any valid approaches or tools within Microsoft Fabric or Power BI ecosystem (or external APIs like Translator), please provide detailed steps or insights on implementing such a solution.

Thank you in advance!

Hi @chovatiya_parth , Creating a Dynamic Multi-Language Dashboard in Power BI without manually building a translation table is challenging because Power BI does not natively support real-time, API-based translations for all elements in a report. However, there are potential approaches to achieve this by integrating external tools or services for real-time translations.

Thank you for your input! We are currently working on using the Azure Translator API to create a dynamic multi-language dashboard in Power BI. Our goal is to utilize our existing Azure subscription to manage translations directly through the Translator resource, rather than relying on third-party tools.

The main challenge we are facing is figuring out the integration process: we want to obtain translations dynamically in Power BI based on the user's language selection, without having to create a manual translation table.

We are exploring how to set this up in Power BI and would greatly appreciate any advice on optimizing the use of the Azure Translator API for this purpose. Have you encountered similar approaches or solutions using Azure for real-time translation in Power BI?

Thank you again for your insights!

Thank you for sharing this solution approach! It provides valuable insights into how I can integrate the Azure Translator API with Power BI for a dynamic multi-language dashboard. However, despite following this approach, I'm still facing challenges in implementing it effectively on an actual report, and I'm struggling with getting the translation to work dynamically on all text elements, such as visuals and titles, in real-time.

I would appreciate any additional advice or tips from those who have successfully implemented this solution.
Thanks again for your help, and I look forward to any further guidance!
