How does the encryption between power bi desktop and power bi apps (publishing dataS) exactly works

Microsoft Docs says, that the data will be encrypted while transmitting them from plower bi desktop to power bi apps (office 365).

How does this exactly works? I can't find any information about that. Is it simply https?
