How do I update Power Bi Desktop?
Hi there I must say I do feel like an idiot asking this. I have power bi desktop open. When I go to Help > About I see that I'm running Version: 2.73.5586.561 64-bit (September 2019). So... can a...
Usually there is a little pop-up that happens when you open telling you that there is an update (non Store version) but I haven't run that version for so long I don't know.
And yes, just close Power BI, run the download to install, it will overwrite it. September 2019, are you running a RS version?
michellepace you can download from the powerbi.com site or if you install from Microsoft Store, it will auto-update and it is the recommended method.
