In order to accurately locate businesses in my Power BI map, I have used the lat/long coordinates for the business postcode. This works great, and renders very quickly as the map is displayed.
I want to get rid of the lat/long co-ordinates in the tooltip though. That data is not relevant to the user and as such just creates visual clutter.
Is it possible to get rid of this?
It is possible but not logical. . . .
You can remove the Lat Long by following these steps:
1. Once added in the map for the Lat and Long settings in the settings form, you can right click the lat and long and then move it to the tooltips shelf.
2. Once in the shelf, you can remove it from the Tooltips section and map still works and does not show the lat long in the map Tooltip.

This worked for me, but I am not sure how this works when both my coordinates wells are now empty?
It does not work. Once moved to the tool tips, all data disappears from the map. Does anyone have a solution?
Is still not possible to remove lat/long from tooltips?
Is still not possible to remove lat/long from tooltips?
2024 now, and it still doesn't seem to be an option without setting up a custom tooltips page (a massively over-engineered solution!)
Is this still the case? Lat/long cannot be removed from the tooltip?
I think it is still not possible to remove them and that all selected fields in map visual will display as tooltips by default.
I too was looking to eliminate the Lat and Longitude from tooltips as it isn't relevant. Was hoping it was an easy easy "hide" option like is avaliable in other charts. Bummer
Hi @PrescribingInfo,
Currently, it can't be achieved, all selected fields in map visual will display as tooltips by default.

I do not believe that the tooltip is that customizable.
