How do I make my Matrix vis look like the one in the Definitive Guide to DAX?

Hello, I am trying to mimic the table output in the book the Definitive Guide to DAX.

The one on the left side is the one from the book and the right one is the one I created in Power BI.

How can I

  1. get category and Continent to be on two separate columns like the one on the left, instead of indented single column?
  2. have the label "Total" and have the sub-totals on the bottom of each category instead of on the top?

read about "stepped layout"  and disable that for your row headers.
