How do I make a line graph that displays item by count(item)?

This should be INCREDIBLY simple ... but I haven't been able to figure out how to do it:

* I have a table of "batches".

* The same batch will have multiple rows, each row has a "state" and a "duration".

* I want to display a graph showing the #/rows that took 55 seconds, 85 seconds, ...

* I'd like the graph to show one line for "VALIDATION" rows, and a second line for "REVIEW" rows.
Q: How do I accomplish this (create the line graph visualization) in PBI Desktop?

EXAMPLE DATA:

Batch IDBatch StateDuration (Seconds)
BI4FF8VALIDATION55
BI4FF8REVIEW85
BI4FF8VALIDATION176
BI4FF8VALIDATION4
BI4FF8VALIDATION7
BI5040REVIEW2
BI5040VALIDATION94
BI504FREVIEW3
BI504FVALIDATION123
BI5054VALIDATION73
BI5054REVIEW3

Hi @paulsm4 ,

For this you need to setup your line chart in the following manner:

  • X-Axis
    • Duration
    • If you need you cna use the categorical instead of continous axis
  • Y-Axis
    • Measure  = COUNTROWS(Table)
  • Legend
    • Batch State
  • You can also turn on markers and labels if you want

this will give you the following result:

Categorical axis

Contiuous axis
