How do I color code items within a group

Hello - I have a clustured column chart. Within it I have grouped items together so that its not so big. However I still want to be able to show that there are different items in each column by color. i.e. Laptops bar consists of :professional laptops, high-performance laptops, professional macbooks, high-performance macbooks, etc. I would like each "model" to be a different color. Is that possible?

Hi @jaytrice26

Download PBIX file with examples below

No you can't do that with the Clustered Column, the color is applied to the column as a whole.

But you can do this with a Clustered Column.

With data like this

You get this

In the visual settings you need to turn off the Legend, and turn on Data Labels and Data Labels -> Value and Title

If you have data that you want to look at over time like this

You can create this
