My work around is to update the data necessary to the correct format, but terrible waste of time.
My column of data would be something like this:
1/1/2024
2/2/2023
123,456,789
Philadelphia, PA
987,789,978
Another example: In this example, the first value has no decimal places and the rest have 2 decimal places.
23
23.45
25.69
BBB
How would I create a column with the above examples into with the correct formatting?

Based on the description of your problem, if you want to display text, date and number in the same column, the way is to make their data format text. I also show this result in the screenshot below:
If you want to display data in text format, date format and number format at the same time in the same column. We regret to inform you that this feature is temporarily unavailable.
Currently, a column of data in Power Query only supports displaying data in one format, and does not support displaying data in several formats at the same time.
