How can I get google analytics data without using the standard connector?
Now that Power BI's project for their Google Analytics connector has exceeded its quota limit, without any prospect of it being increased, the standard connector has become obsolete for my work... So I'm looking for other ways to bring data from Google Analytics into Power BI.
This is an area I'm unfamiliar with (since I've always relied on the connector). So I'm looking for ideas / alternative ways to connect to Google Analytics. I'm hoping you guys can provide me with some tips or directions to look into. Perhaps using Google BigQuery, Azure, or perhaps just the Query Explorer? Any method (the simpler, the better, although I get that none of these are exactly 'simple'...) is welcome, it doesn't have to be free of charge.
Using google search to look for methods isn't helpful, because I always get the same search results regarding power bi itself, the standard connector, or other companies providing their paid solutions/connectors... That's why I'm asking you guys. Thanks in advance!

So Power bi's connector for google analytics has a sampling issue and an API Calls limit. The standard limitations and quotas for Google Analytics API requests are documented in Limits and Quotas on API Requests. However, Power BI Desktop and Power BI service allow you to use the following enhanced number of queries.
Queries per day: 1,500,000 Queries per 100 seconds: 4,000
Might be better to connect Google analytics to a data warehouse such as Google BigQuery, which will help you get access to historical data that you won't be able to get with Power bi's connector. I'd suggest using a third-party connector such as windsor.ai who has a ready and free app for google analytics ( https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/power-bi/windsorgroupgmbh1585043281642.media_overview_...).
Here is also an article that details how to connect Google analytics to Google BigQuery https://windsor.ai/how-to-get-your-analytics-crm-and-media-data-into-bigquery/
