Hi all
I currently have four separate reports within a Power BI App. Each report operates independently, which has led to some user frustration. Users have expressed that they need to apply the same filter across all reports individually, which is time-consuming and inefficient.
These reports are built from different semantic models, making it impossible to merge them into a single comprehensive report. Given this limitation, I am seeking an alternative solution that would allow filters to be applied across multiple reports simultaneously within the Power BI service app or using another solution.
Does anyone have suggestions or know of any methods to implement filters across multiple reports in this scenario?
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you expect that are common filters that can be used across all the reports then it sounds like there are common dimensions that would allow you to combine all of the models together
Regardless, the only way for filters to move between reports is with cross report drillthrough
I will test out using cross-report drillthrough. It would be hard to combine all the reports, as each one uses a different fact table with some common dimension tables. The single report would have 21 pages and would make it hard to maintain and refresh.
Hi Deku
I just had a look at this on YouTube and one of the downsides is that there is no back button navigation. Have used this function before and have you been able to create a button to take the users back to the previous page?
Not for a long time. Don't know if you can have a button. Would suggest combining the models and reports
