How can I add a linear trendline to my column chart?

I have a requirement to have a trendline on my column charts in a report similar to what can be done in Excel (linear trend line).

 

The y values in my chart are simply the sum of site visits for the period.

Is this possible?

yes, you can do a combo column and line chart, and you can create a measure that emulates your straight line.

 

Please provide sample data that fully covers your issue.
Please show the expected outcome based on the sample data you provided.
