How Do I Migrate Existing Reports to Direct Query

Hi,

I have anumber of exsitng reports that connect via our personal gateway and on-permise SQL server.

I'd like to migrate these to direct query (sales reports) and to use our enterprise gateway.

Is there a easy way of doing this without having to rebuild them all?

Thanks

Craig

@CraigBlackman Taking Import mode to DirectQuery isn't supported yet, since there are many restrictions on DQ models currently (like only one data source, query must be foldable, no calculated columns and tables, limited measure capabilities etc) . Once these restrictions are lifted (and we are working on it), we can provide an easy migration solution for conversion between the two modes.

@CraigBlackman - You could try the technique suggested here:

@Greg_Deckler

The trouble is report uses multiple tables and have multiple visualisations all from my native sql database.

@CraigBlackman - Right, the same technique should apply for each query. That being said, I haven't done this technique with DirectQuery before.
