Horizontal Line Chart in PBI

Hi all,

Do you know if it´s possible to add a horizontal line chart to PowerBi Desktop, similar to the classical line chart but rotated 90 degrees?

Kind regards, Arnar.

Hi @Anonymous

The default visual of Power BI cannot be rotated currently.
But maybe you can try this custom visual:
Create Microsoft Power BI Custom Visuals Interactively | PBI VizEdit

It provides the Vertical Line chart like the following picture:

And you can also use it to customize visuals.

Hi Zhengdong Xu and thanks for the tip.

I don't think the vertical line chart is enough to solve the problem completely.

The dots in the image I'm working with show the values of public health indicators for a specific health district. Below the image you can see the names of the indicators.

The gray bars show the range from the lowest district in the country to the highest.

The red line shows the country's average for each indicator.

If the dots are blue, the measurement is significant, if yellow then insignificant and if gray then significance was not measured.

The image below is exactly as I want it, except that it should be rotated by 90 degrees.

The indicators are on the X-axis, the dots as a line on the Y-axis (the line is invisible and the markers visible) and the gray bars are inserted as error bars.

The red line is just a shape on top of the image.

If anyone can help me rotate this image 90 degrees, it would be appreciated 🙂

Best regards, Arnar.

@Anonymous I don' think it is available in out of the box visual, not sure if there is anything on the market place which can achieve this.
