Horizontal Gridlines not turning off

Hi all,

I recently discovered an issue with my line charts where I am unable to completely turn off the horizontal gridlines, though it works for the vertical gridlines. My workaround for this was the set the width to 0px, or the colour to the same as the background. Is this an ongoing bug or is there an alternative fix for this as it is tedious to do such for all visuals.

Thanks!

  • It looks like a bug which I have faced too - dropping the transparency works as of now as a workaround - hope it will be fixed in the new update.

  •

    Try this options

    • Check for Updates: Ensure that Power BI is updated to the latest version, as Microsoft periodically releases updates that might fix such bugs.

    • Use Themes: If this is a recurring issue across multiple visuals, consider creating a custom theme JSON file where the horizontal gridlines are predefined as invisible. This way, you can apply the theme across all visuals without manually adjusting each one.

    • Custom Visuals: If gridline control is critical for your visuals, you might explore custom visuals from the marketplace that offer more granular control over appearance.
