What was your version installed prior to installing April 2025? You might want to go back to that if you don't want to upgrade to a much later version. Previous monthly updates to Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service

Is there a particular reason why you are sticking to Apr version?

Although July 2025 version may still has other bugs, updatig to this version is likely to restore your missing functionality, as Microsoft has been fixing related visual formatting issues.

Hi @Robert14358 ,

You're right, that's a regression in the April 2025 update. The horizontal alignment option for button callouts has been removed from the formatting pane.

Quick fixes to try:

Check if it relocated: Sometimes formatting options move to different sections. Look under the main "Text" formatting or "Advanced options" - it might have been reorganized rather than removed.

Previous version workaround: If you have the March 2025 version available, open your file there to adjust the alignment, then save. The formatting should persist when reopened in the newer version.

Text box alternative: As a temporary solution, you can overlay text boxes on your buttons for more precise alignment control.

This appears to be an unintended change affecting existing reports. UI elements like this are core formatting features that users rely on.

Submit feedback: Use Help → Send a Suggestion to report this missing functionality. Include:

  • Specific version number (2.142.1277.0)
  • That it affects existing reports
  • Request for the feature to be restored

Expected resolution: UI formatting regressions typically get addressed in the following monthly update once reported. Microsoft values maintaining consistency in core formatting capabilities.

The development team appreciates feedback on these types of changes as they help ensure continuity in the user experience.
