What happened to these charts? Weren't they going to be implemented in Power BI (this past summer) as they are in Excel 2016?

We continue to add more visuals to the base product and at the same time allow customers to customize/extend and add new visuals using the GitHub Open source visuals project.
The charts that you listed are high in the backlog. Please vote for them in uservoice and provider your feedback on what you would like to see next in the survey mentioned in
I have voted for these. My confusion stems from MSFT blog entries (earlier this year) that suggested ... 1) during this past summer there was going to be a "push" for these and other visualizations, and 2) these chart types were withheld from GA because of a compatibility issue that would be quickly addressed. Later came GitHub, and it's unclear if there is now an expectation for end-users to create their own versions of these chart types.
