Hierarchy Slicer glitch?

Hi All, 

I have several reports where I have used the Hierarchy Slicer for over a year with no problem. For a couple of months now I've had a random glitch where the slicer will not allow me to select multiple nodes and will randomly clear all selections as if it is overwhelmed? My solution for this has been to disable multiple selection which has been inconvinient for my users. This applies to the desktop report and when published to the service. Has anyone heard of anythin like this, is this something related to the visual or should I look for something in my model which could cause this?

Important to note: my organization validates program updates before they can be made available to employees for use so I'm currently running on Version: 2.82.5858.961 64-bit (Juni 2020)
