Hierarchical Slicer Issue

Hi,

I am using the custom visual "Hierarchy Slicer" for Hierachical Filter options. However It shows nothing on Dashboard page when I pin the Visualization.

If you any of you know the solution to fix the issue, please let me know.

Thanks

Arun

  • Never mind. I was able to resolve it by re-importing the Custom Visual. That resolved the issue.

      Hi,

I just had to re-import which resolved. What I noticed was there was conflict in CSS. SlicerText class is not defined with font color in CSS. This is overridden by parent container.

If you are still facing the issue, probably you should give a try to define the color in CSS of custom visual. I am requesting a feature to add the Designer Property to set the color for Slicer Texts. But you can try below steps:

      1. Go to PowerBI.com

      2. Click on Gear Icon and Select Dev Tools

      3. Import the HierarchySlicer.0.6.0.pbiviz (from your local computer)

      4. In the Botton Left Corner you should see CSS listing for the visual

      5. Now add the below line as the last code for CSS

      6. .slicerText{color:#666666 !important}

      7. Click on "Compile + Run" button

      8. Now export the updated visual by click on "Export" button.

      9. Import the changed custom visual into your report and publish.

This should ideally fix your issue. However be cautious that since you are hard coding the colors, if you change your back ground colors etc, you might have to rebuild your modified visual.

The second option would recreate the Report (I know its painful and nobody wants to do).

One thing I noticed that, this custom visual somehow messes up with core CSS of powerbi.

I hope this may help you.

      Thanks

      Arun
