Hiding a table

Hello all,

 

When i try to hide a table from the report view, the table disappears for a brief moment and then reappears. it isn't hided.

 

When i look at the relationship screen, the table is marked as hided but it isnt in the report view.

 

Are there rules set to hiding a table from report view?

    So I figured out what the problem was on my end. If the table that you want to hide has a DAX measure in it, it won't hide. The workaround is to create the same DAX measure in a seperate table. Once the table you want to hide has no DAX measures in it, you should be able to hide it.

    daanp I can't replicate your issue. Have you ensured you have latest version of power bi desktop (july 2016).

      Yes i have the latest version of Power BI.

        Hi daanp,

        I am not able to reproduce your issue by using the latest version of Power BI Desktop(2.37.4464.361). When I hide a table in Report view, save the PBIX file and reopen it, the table is completely hidden in Report view and it gets dim in Data view and Relationship view.

        Would you mind sharing me your PBIX file? I will test it in my environment and check if I can reproduce this issue.

      Hello all,

       

      I am facing a similar issue where I can't hide datasets in Power BI Desktop. The scenario is that the datasets I want to hide are referenced in other datasets (the other datasets are duplicated and appended queries). Like other community members have said, I can attempt to hide it, but after 1 second it will reappear again.

       

      I am able to hide datasets that are not referenced by other datasets though. Is this by design?

    I've got the same issue.  I find it happens if I have used a field from a table in a visualization at some point, and then later decide I want to hide the table.  So I delete the visualization, but still the 1 second issue happens to me.
