Hide option to stop showing dialog boxes from this visual type during the current session

I have a report in which I am using a custom visual called Filter (by Powerviz) that has this great feature where you can choose to have the select list pop up in a dialog box to save on screen realestate.

The problem I have is that checkbox at the bottom of the dialog box that gives the user to stop showing dialog boxes from this visual type during the current session. When the unsuspecting user click on this checkbox, this unfortunately stops the pop up selection list from appearing again in the current session. The user would need to log out of Power BI app and log back in to re-enable it.

Is there any way we can get around this to hide this checkbox? I don't recall seeing this in earlier versions of Power BI (though that may have just been me overlooking it).

Hello @cath1ynn ,

I've faced this before with one of the Powerviz visuals, unfortunatelly you can't hide this.

I also sent them an email and they replied that they microsoft makes them put this and they're working on a solution.

you can reach out to them on the following email and they reply fast.

Ah, I thought that this may have been a Power BI function that I can switch off somewhere in the registry. I'll reach out to the Powerviz team and see. Thanks for the heads up.
