Hide columns - using slicer

HI I have a pivoted query , which displays

Columns A B C D the data has been pivoted

Type   A B C D

X         1     1 2

Y

slicer 

A   X (checked)

B

C  X

D

Then display will change as such.

Type   A  C 

X         1  1

Y

The data is already pivoted , 

Really what I want to do is filter out a pivoted columns data but be under user control. I have the pre pivoted source data the pivoted data query references a source query in the query editor. any ideas.

use the matrix visual  - pivot the data in the matrix visual by dragging the column to pivot to the colums

this way you don't have to do the pivot in the query editor.
