Hide Clear filter
Hi RobbLewz ,
If you set the slicer to a distinct value people will only be abble to select one value from the slicer, also to make it a cleaner report what I ussualy do is to create a button with the filters and using bookmarkls I show and hide the slicers, or place it on a principle page so users must go back and select what they need something similar to this:
As you can see the period slicer only allows one selection so the users will not be abble to select, in this case I have opted by making a bar on the left side but can be only an icon or something similar.
Just giving options.
Thanks, the user can still click a checked box in a slicer and effectivley reset it back select all though.
People at top want the filter on the side for a "cleaner" report too

Thaks for the info, it is really helpful.
Wouldn't using a book mark to show \ hide the filters also reset the filters though?

In this case I'm only using the bookmark to show/hide the slicers, and I deselect the data option on the bookmark since I want to always keep the selection.
You can create another bookmark with your default settings and keep it data bound and when the person clicks that button the filter get reset to what you define.
