Hidden Excel Sheets when importing multiple excels from a sharepoint folder

Dear all,

I am using the data source SharePoint folder to bulk insert and combine multiple Excel Workbooks. The tab that I need from the workbooka is hidden and the excel structure is protected with a password (unhide in excel is not possible with a password). Is there any way to show the hidden protected sheets in Power Query without editing all the sheets manually?

Thanks very much in advance.

Hi @LinVPowerBI1 ,

Sorry for that it seems that Power BI desktop doesn't support to fetch data from password protected Excel file.
Here is an idea you could click to vote it up.

As a workaround, you could remove passsword and instead, move the files to a secure folder that limited people have access to.

Best regards,

select a single file that shows the sheet you need, enter the power query and make the union of files, check by the filters that remove the null values and headers, that will take the other files that have hidden the sheets

@amitchandakThanks for your reply! The password is no problem for now,  I can see all the other sheets. Only the Excel structure is protected with a password, the data isn't. It is just that the sheet I need is not visable in all the workbooks.
