Hello, I would like to use the "narrative" visual but I cannot personalize it. No action is possible. Can you help me? Thank!!
Solved! Go to Solution.
What do you mean in terms of content?
This visual is done in an automatic way, if you want to add more "content" you need to add it directly to the text box that is created.
When you do the narrative it's based on the full page context you don't do any selection.

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @Greg0ry ,
Based on the information, smart narrative summary is highly customizable. You can edit or add to the existing text by using the text box commands. For example, you can make the text bold or change its color. To customize the summary or add your own insights, use dynamic values. You can map text to existing fields and measures or use natural language to define a new measure to map to text.

This is a text visual to edit the formatting you must use the text bar formula:
You can select only part of the text or the entire text to format

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi there!
Based on the screenshot you shared, here are a few possible solutions to your problem:
1. Enable the Formatting Pane
- Click on the visual and then go to the "Format" pane (paint roller icon in the "Visualizations" pane).
- If the formatting options are greyed out, try re-adding the visual.
2. Verify Field Assignments
- The Narrative visual requires specific fields (measures) to generate insights. Ensure you have meaningful numerical fields assigned to the visual.
- If there are no measures in the "Values" section, add some and check if you can now edit the text.
3. Check Power BI Version
- If you're using an older version of Power BI Desktop, some formatting options may be missing.
- Try updating Power BI to the latest version.
4. Try a Custom Visual
- If the default "Narrative" visual doesn’t allow enough customization, consider using Smart Narrative or a third-party custom visual from the Power BI Marketplace.
Hope this helps you!
😁😁
Thank you, I must not have the latest version of powerbi because I don't see everything you mention
