Help with cumulative filtering

Hi,

I have an arc gis map visualization and a table. I'm using the "click and drag" rectangular selection within arc gis to select multiple objects on th emap. Once I make my selection, as expected, my table filters to these objects. However, when I select an object in the filtered table, the previous selection in the map goes back to default and I lose the previous selection from the map. Is there a way to keep the selection in arc gis when selecting objects on other visualizations? I've tried turning the "interaction" off from the table to arc gis but it still resets.

Thanks in advance!

@Anonymous

If you turn off the interaction, any filter actions will be removed and returns to non filtered visual. For your case, usually it is recommended to used bookmark to store the filter visual. Simply interact with the visuals, and click add bookmark to save the filtered visual.

Hi @Anonymous  I really appreciate your repsonse. Unfortunately I do not think the bookmark method will work as the selection from the map could be different each time a user selects objects. The visualization has hundreds of objects and the selection might be unique every time someone uses the report.
