I have a simple column chart, as shown below.
I have another visual in the report that has category data and when I select a category in that visual it interacts with the column chart, which is the expected behavor.
The numbers that are shown are correct, but it is a bit misleading when the bars for the months with 0 are all different sizes and some are bigger than the month with 2. I understand that the little sliver of blue in 2023 Jul represents the 2, but it is hard to see. Is it possible to have the chart update so that the bars are just the size of the selected category and not the total?

You can use the 'Edit interactions' button on the format ribbon to control how the filtering is applied from visual to visual.
Click on the visual that is your filtering 'source'.
After clicking on the 'Edit interactions' button the remaining visuals on your page will have icons show up in the top right corner.
Click the icon with the little filter symbol on it and it will change how the visual responds to filters from the 'source' visual.
You can also turn off filtering here so that a visual does not respond to specific other visuals.
