Hi there,
To be honest I struggle with what to put in place to get measure working properly. I have some nice Power BI reports in place which I have achieved through transforming data and the like but when I need to extend on something I cannot.
I would like to create a measure that just shows the data in a table that I have that I want to use in relation to a couple of other visualisations.
In a table I have
Software
Date
Count
Site
This is just basically an export from our purchasing system and it shows a total of each software license per month per location we have. I was just wanting to put that in a measure. Maybe it isn't needed to be a measure but I can't actually get my old man brain around how to make this into a simple measure that when used on a dashboard can be effected by visualisations.
I know this is pretty fundamental, but what measure would I create to just show the data in this table. I was trying a countdistinct type deal that I thought would give me a the broken down data - I mucked that up.
Thanks for any help offered.

Ignoring the column crossed out, I was just trying to create a measure to show the monthly data for the various Sotware items in here.
So for each month there are 4 lines, that when I use a slicer with it I can drill down to the particular location and software.
I know I can create a standard visualisation to do this, was just hoping to understand how to show it in a measure.
Hi @Anonymous

(You can choose any way, as long as you can describe it clearly. e.g. examples in Excel, PBI file after removing sensitive information, or hand drawn data.)

@Anonymous , I am not able to understand the challenge here. as long as you have the price you should able to see that by per month per location. You can use date hierarchy or create a month year column, or use month year from date table.
Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.
