Help with User-Level Security in Power BI Report within Power Pages
Hi Jihwan_Kim , technolog and all,
Hope you are doing well.
I've been struggling for the past week with implementing user-level security in a Power BI report embedded within Power Pages. Specifically, I want to ensure that users can only see their own records when they log in.
Here's the scenario:
- There are two users in Power Pages, User1 and User2.
- When User1 logs into Power Pages, they should only be able to see their records in the Power BI report, and vice versa for User2.
I am familiar with Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) in Power BI, which are typically used for system users of an organization. However, I need a solution for portal users (contacts) of the organization.
I have attached a screenshot of the report. I am looking for a dynamic slicer filter based on the logged-in user in Power Pages. For instance, if User1 logs in, the slicer should automatically select User1 from the data, filtering the table to show only User1's records.
Any guidance or suggestions on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
