Help with Column based on dates.

Hi! I hope someone can help me with this>

I have two columns: Completion Date and Due Date. I want to add a third column that:

If Completion Date is not empty, then New Column = "Completed". But if Completion Date is empty, I'd like New Column = "On time" or "Past Due" based on Due Date column.

Hope my question makes sense.

Thank you!

  • Hi, EduardoC

    please try something like the below.

    the formula is for creating a new column.

    New Column CC =
    SWITCH (
    TRUE (),
    'Table'[Completion Date] <> BLANK (), "Cmpleted",
    'Table'[Due Date] >= TODAY (), "On time",
    'Table'[Due Date] < TODAY (), "past due"
    )

      Thank you, Jihwan Kim!

      This is exactly what I was looking for. Never thought of the SWITCH option. I really appreciate it.
