Heya,

I've got this report which is used for planning purposes. Customers submit their requested plan and we respond with either a match or a non match. I've built the visual as a matrix and highlight discrepancies as red to highlight a potential issue. The idea is that a user can then hover over that matrix value and have the tool tip give them a bit more info as to why we have declined their requested plan.
Visual is currently a matrix visual with the 'Switch values to rows' setting on.
The issue is that each [Site Name] has four different columns of responses from the customer. I then have 4 more corresponding columns to enter my responses in. So we have 4 'groupings' of columns. Essentially the customer request and the business response.
In the screen shot below you can see what the tooltip currently shows. When hovering over the cell value for [Does Fonterra req export rail] it shows the response columns for all 4 response columns. Ideally I want a dynamic tool tip that shows only the related response column based on the context of which cell you are hovering over.
I've tried playing around a variety of different ways, including breaking out the '4 grouping categories' into their own seperate tables. (so far have just broken out 2 of the 4 whilst testing).
The problem i keep running into is that when hovering over the cell value of say [Does Fonterra req domestic rail] for holiday [Boxing Day] i should ONLY find context to return the value of 'DomesticRail'[Has Coda confirmed domestic rail]. However i seem to be having context issues where it finds valid context for the other response columns from other tables, even though as you can see there is no directly path linking the DomRail and ExportRail tables together. (at least not starting at one and going to the other)
Values in the Matrix visual (with just the 2 groupings i am testing with)
Site Name from the SiteTable
Holiday from the HolidaysOrderTable
Does Fonterra req Export rail from the ExportRail table
Does Fonterra req Domestic rail from the DomRail table
DomRail and ExportRail tables look like this. Note the first 2 columns are the category pair of customer request vs my response. The context on these columns should be isolated to only show when that corresponding [Does Fonterra req...] question is in the value the user is highlighting over.
If anyone has any ideas please help me out!
Please provide a workable sample data (not a screenshots )
and your expected result from that. It is hard to figure out what you want to achieve from the description alone.
Thanks Rita, have uploaded a sample file to google drive and pasted the link in the original post. Will post again here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZEov7hV7zN6ZzioZ7pkFi_LTlFAZrF4c/view?usp=sharing
Theres 3 measures under SiteTable to take a look at. I've added some text to them explaining the problem further.
