Help Needed: Creating Parameter with Integer, Percentage, and Time Fields in Power BI

Hello Power BI Community,

I'm seeking assistance in creating a parameter with specific value types, including integers, percentages, and time durations in HH:MM:SS format. Here's what I aim to achieve:

**Required Parameters:**
- 1 Integer
- 3 Percentages
- 4 Time Durations in HH:MM:SS format

Could someone please guide me through the process of setting up this parameter in Power BI? Any insights, tips, or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Best regards,
Manoj Prabhakar

Hi @manoj_0911 ,

You can create parameters with specific value types in Power BI by following these steps:

  1. In the Power BI Power Query, select Manage Parameters.
  2. In the Manage Parameters window, click on New to create a new parameter.
  3. Enter a name for the parameter and select the data type. For integers, select Whole Number. For percentages, select Decimal Number and format the parameter as a percentage. For time durations in HH:MM:SS format, select Text.
  4. Enter the allowed values for the parameter. For integers and percentages, you can enter a static list of values or a minimum and maximum value. For time durations, enter a static list of values in the HH:MM:SS format.
  5. Click OK to save the parameter.
